The Contamination Assessment, also known as a Phase III Environmental Site Assessment, is the most comprehensive of the environmental assessments. It is called for when contamination has been identified by a Phase II Assessment. It is designed to determine both the horizontal and vertical extent of environmental impacts, and to estimate the method and cost of remediation.
